SolarShield Valor — half-cassette folding-arm awning

Half-cassette folding-arm awningPatented tipping systemComing soon

Valor

A half cassette, and pitch you can set without touching it.

Overview

Valor sits between Legend and Salute in the line: a folding-arm retractable with a half cassette rather than an open arm or a full enclosure. Its distinguishing feature is a patented tipping system that adjusts the awning’s inclination without acting on the cassette itself, across a 5° to 45° range.

Best for

  • Openings needing a specific pitch
  • Walls where a half cassette suits
  • Projections up to 11′ 9″
  • Dealers wanting a third retractable tier

Why stock it

What Valor does for your business

01

Pitch set at the bracket

The patented tipping system adjusts inclination from 5° to 45° without acting on the cassette. Where a job needs a specific pitch to clear a door head or shed water a particular way, that is set at the bracket.

02

Half cassette

The cassette shelters the roller and fabric while leaving the arms outside it. Legend leaves the assembly open; Salute encloses all of it. Valor is the middle configuration, and which one suits a job depends on how exposed the wall is and what the customer wants to see when it is closed.

03

Steel square bar

A 1.57 inch galvanized and painted steel square bar carries the load, with folding belt arms. A different construction from the extruded aluminium lines — worth knowing when you are matching a product to an elevation.

Dealer specifications

Valor specifications

01

Folding-arm, half-cassette system

Valor is a folding-arm awning on a 1.57 inch galvanized and painted steel square bar, with a half cassette and belt arms.

02

Patented tipping system

A patented tipping system allows the awning’s inclination to be adjusted without acting on the cassette itself.

03

Pitch range

Adjustable from 5° to 45°.

04

Available projections

Projections of 6′ 11″, 8′ 6″, 10′ 2″, and 11′ 9″. Legend carries the longer 13′ 5″ projection — if a job needs more than 11′ 9″, it is a Legend job.

05

Projection dictates a minimum width

With one pair of arms, each projection sets a minimum awning width: 8′ 5″ at 6′ 11″, 10′ 1″ at 8′ 6″, 11′ 8″ at 10′ 2″, and 13′ 4″ at 11′ 9″. A narrower opening means a shorter projection or a second arm pair. Confirm against the opening before quoting.

06

Mounting configurations

Wall or ceiling installation, each also available with a front bar.

07

Cassette envelope

Wall configuration measures 8.74 inches deep from the wall by 8.58 inches high. Confirm against a current factory drawing on any tolerance-critical install.

08

Where it fits your board

Valor gives you a half-cassette option between the open-arm Legend and the full-cassette Salute, with pitch adjustment none of the others offer. Which of the three you quote comes down to exposure, appearance when closed, and the projection the opening allows.
